PEACE IN THE VALLEY

Little Lily closed her eyes as she lay there in the valley. She smiled a little smile as she felt the grass tickling her feet.

" Lily, are you asleep?" "Why are you smiling in your sleep?"

She opened her eyes and saw Gio the little rabbit jumping around her.

"Oh hello, little friend, I'm not sleeping I was only dreaming of something and it made me smile."

"Did it make you smile, I wanna smile too, what was it?" He jumped up and down even more rabbitly rapidly.

The little butterflies around them joyfully played with the wind and sang in unison "Tell us little Lily,tell us your dream."

" Okee my funny little friends, sure you want to hear it?"

"Yes, tell us!"

"Okee then."

"Well it was about Peace, Peace in our valley."

"Who is that, what is Peace and when is it coming to our valley?" Gio jumped up and down even more.

"Oh, you funny little rabbit just sit still and I'll tell you who Peace is and when He's coming."

"Peace is the Great Bird who looks after our valley, He lives on the snowy mountain."

"His wings are large and mighty and when He flies all quarrelling and fighting just vanishes into the air."

"Do you mean that the Udah tribe and the Enians will not war anymore?"

"Yes, they and others also"

"Yippeee!! Then we can go and fly around in their fields without being roasted by the fire they throw at each other." The butterflies twirled and happily spread their wings in the wind.

"Can we go now already?"



"No, not yet, we have to wait for the great Bird to fly over them and touch them with the shadow of His wings. When His shadow touches them, their hearts get wings to fly like He does."

"Oh now that's what I want, a heart with wings, then I don't have to jump so high all day long but just fly around with you, butterflies." Gio jumped up and down ecstatically.

"Oh look" Lily jumped up and stared into the sky.

"There He is, it's Peace." Lily's heart was filled with joy and it was like the butterflies were flying inside of her.

The wonderful majestic Bird had His wings spread accross the clear blue sky as He came down towards them.

His great shadow started to cover them and when it touched their hearts, they suddenly found themselves soaring beside Him as He took off to the sky again.

Carried through the wind of His wings they spread His peace together with Him wherever the wings of their heart soared to.
